Why measure water?

Water contamination over a prolonged period of time will lead to equipment failure from the following problems:

• Sludge formation
  
• Plugging risk of oil line
  
• Degradation of lubricant additives.
  
• High wear due to rust and corrosion
  
• Increased wear on bearings due to impaired    lubrication    film or pitting due to free water.
  
• Emulsification making separation less effective
  
• Bacterial growth in water/oil interfaces increases risk of changes in oil characteristics.

Why use the WIO Monitor when you have a CJC Filter Separator?

With only a CJC Filter Separator it could take too long to discover any excessive water ingress.

By the time you detect it the water and oil will have emulsified and removing water from the oil has become more difficult and costly.

With a warning from the WIO Monitor you have an opportunity to stop the water ingress in time and avoid water and oil to emulsify.
